New Kicks

I decided it was time to splurge on some new kicks with some of my tax refund money. My Nikes were almost completely worn on the ball of my foot and I've been having lots of aches and pains.

Last week, I noticed that I had developed callouses right in the middle of my arches... WTF?!

The best shoe store that I have ever been to is Fleet Feet. All I have to do is walk in, tell them I need new shoes and we go from there. Jason was once again my sales rep and he is AMAZING!  Before you try on shoes, they ask lots of questions, check out sizing, arches etc.

I have very high arches that collapse a lot when I take a step, I also overpronate, so I need very specific shoes and inserts to protect my feet.

Jason tried a few shoes on me and watched me take a short jog in them and decided I needed a lot more stability than I had in previous pairs. He came back out with a pair of New Balance and Saucony shoes and also picked out a much better insert for me and my high arches.

I put on the Saucony Stabil shoes and could not believe the difference I felt. I took a jog while Jason watched and he yelled out "perfection!" The new shoes fixed my over pronating problem!

Looking forward to my first run in the new shoes and inserts!
